Surname: GARRETT From: "Biographical Review of Cass, Schuyler and Brown Counties, Illinois 1892", by Biographical Review Publishing Company, Chicago, Illinois; pages 465-6, a reprinted by Stevens Publishing Co., Astoria, Ill, 1971, is sold by the Schuyler County Historical Society, Rushville, Illinois.

Frans H. D. Kruse Biography

". . . Elizabeth C. Garrett, who was born in Georgetown, Scott county, Kentucky, in April, 1824. Her father, Thomas Garrett, was born in Delaware and was the son of David Garrett, who lived for many years on the line between that State and Pennsylvania and spent his last days there.

So, is that Deware County, Pennsyvania or Delaware County, New York at the boarder between Delawre County, New York and Wayne County, PA? This would be during the 1700s. For Thomas Garret his son was born 14 Jun 1796. Thomas' wife Susanna Weigart was 20 Mar 1798 in Maryland, so it is a good chance its Delware County, Pennsylvania, Although they were married in Lexington Co., Kentucky. So, it's hard to say, because I am just noticing on the map that a small part of the State of Deware does boarder the State of Pensyvania too. New Castle County, Delware boarders both Chester & Delware County, PA. So this could be the area talked about above. So, if any one sees the name David Garret for these areas, please let me know. Thanks for the help.
